The young swordsman of the Leone Templars, once feared as a powerful sorcerer called "The Crimson Marksman". However, when under attack from the Gods Army, he used sorcery that broke through his spiritual limits to save his comrades, and he lost his powers. Having lost power and confidence, he wandered wasted until and encounter with his old commander's beloved sword Zanketsu reawakened his lost passion. Beneath the castle of Granadia, he held a sword for the first time in his life.

A former sorcerer, he began following the path of the sword when he inherited Zanketsu, the beloved blade of his former captain, who had perished on the battlefield.

His skills with the blade are lightning-quick, but he takes no pride in them; he simply continues to follow his former leader's footsteps
